Murder 2 - Movie review
Murder 2
A; Thriller
Dir: Mohit Suri
Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Jacqueline Fernandez
Rating: *1/2
Two films releasing this week. One a children's film, Chillar Party and another a juvenile film, Murder 2. Ex-cop Arjun Bhagwat (Emraan), with a perpetually bad wig hair day, walks around wounded and with an I-am-a-victim expression, because mind you, 20 long years back his family had committed suicide, for no fault of anyone's.
And he generally hates God. However, he being a hero, he protects pimps, call girls and the likes, and gives away thick envelopes of his hard earned money to poor people. Robin Hood would have been confused.
Dhiraj Yadav (Prashant Narayan) is a serial killer. Though Prashant is pretty convincing in his menacing role, for God-knows-what-reason his character likes to dress up as a woman, when he is in the mood to kill and chop up bodies of call girls and sex workers. When the credits roll, with blood splattered around the names, you kind of brace yourself with a sinking heart, for the kind of movie that is to follow. But even that doesn't prepare you for a really tacky item song by Yana Gupta and a lot of other things.
To its credit, the first half of the film manages to hold your interest, as you get involved with Reshma's life, a college student turned call girl, who manages to land herself in the clutches of a serial killer. You guessed it right; Reshma is pure but helpless, because she has to provide for her mother and two sisters. This story of one night has Arjun looking for Reshma, even while oscillating between making out with girlfriend Priya (Jaqueline) and trying to ward off her attention.
Once he catches Dhiraj, he is out again wandering aimlessly, looking for evidence against him. In the second half, the director totally loses his sense of direction, and we have to be happy with gallons of 'blood' oozing out everywhere, with intermittent screeches of different girls.
Priya's body has a better role than her face. Poor girl didn't even get the advantage of her dialogues being in sync with her lip movement. Add to that the two and half dialogues that she has are repetitive ¦ Mohabbat ya zaroorat?, she keeps asking to Emraan's in expressive retort, Aadat.
This one has no mohabbat, not surely a zaroorat and probably just an aadat for the Bhatts to come out with a movie now and then, with a staple fare of explicit sex scenes and graphic violence in the name of a thrilling movie.

The top 10 ways to impress a woman
When attempting to woo a woman, every man must remember that the slightest comment can make a big difference -- it could either flatter her to no ends, or offend her in ways that you didn't think was possible.
Here are the top 10 ways to impress a woman:
1. Look her in the eye: Remember, if she catches you staring at her chest when she's telling you how much her mom means to her, you'll look like a creep.
2. Be well groomed: Women want their men to be well groomed. They want them to look and smell good all the time. That doesn't mean you necessarily have to be clean-shaven, but any facial hair you do have should be well maintained, reports Fox News.
3. Help her with her coat: Women love old-school displays of chivalry. Helping her put on her coat is a great example. It's a kind, courteous act that's not so common anymore. It's also a good way to increase her comfort level with you as it allows you to get close to her without getting too close.
4. Socialize with her friends: Women are attracted to likable, social, charming men, the kind of guys their friends and families will love. So, engage in conversation with her friends even as you're working your magic on her. Impress them and you'll impress her. Just make sure it's clear that she's the one you're interested in.
5. Ignore your phone: Nothing says, "You're not that important.... " like taking a call from someone else or checking a text in the middle of a conversation.
The culture of texting has gotten way out of hand. Too many men think it's perfectly acceptable to take a phone call or fire off an e-mail while you're on a date or in the middle of a conversation.
When you're talking to a woman, let her see you silence your phone or turn it off completely -- show her she has your undivided attention.
6. Ask her questions: Just about every woman likes to talk about herself. It's a subject on which she has a lot of expertise, after all.
Asking her questions about her past and her favorite things will allow her to open up and feel comfortable, while simultaneously showing her that you're interested in more than just her looks.
7. Open doors: Opening the door for a woman is a classic gentlemanly gesture. The otherwise admirable push for gender equality has largely eliminated acts of chivalry like this one.
8. Compliment the way she looks: Give this a shot: Compliment the way she looks in her outfit. Say something like, "You look great in that dress." It's a great way of telling her she looks hot without rerunning the same old compliment and it also communicates that you're attracted to her in a way that, "Cool jacket!" does not.
9. Ask for advice: It shows her that you value other people's opinions -- in particular, her opinion. Be careful not to come off as clueless here, though; you don't want to act like you know nothing.
For example, does she think you should move into a townhouse or a loft? This kind of question allows her to easily express an opinion, and hopefully sparks a more extensive conversation.
10. Compliment her positivity: Telling a woman she gives off a "happy" vibe will make her feel good.
It also allows you to then ask her about the things in her life that make her so happy, which will make her feel even better, positive feelings that she'll ultimately associate with talking to you.
Trust me it works.Every women want this even loves this.So just keep this in your mind and dont be so mean or dont missunderstood them just show your care and true love.

I am the only hero to fly a F-16: Shahid Kapur
Actor Shahid Kapur, who had the rare experience of flying multirole jet fighter aircraft F-16 to adapt traits of a fighter pilot for his forthcoming film "Mausam", takes pride in being the only film actor to have flown that ultimate flying machine.
Shahid Kapoor on the sets of Mausam
"I was quite fortunate that I flew an F-16 fighter plane. I don't think any other actor has ever flown a F-16. Even when actor Tom Cruise had done 'Top Gun' he had flown an F15. I was very fortunate to get that opportunity. It was a very exciting experience for me," Shaid told reporters at the first look of the film at the PVR here Monday.
The actor had flown the American fighter aircraft at the AeroIndia defence exhibition in Bangalore earlier this year.
Sharing his overwhelming experience, Shahid reveals: "Honestly I was not fond of flying in a plane but when I actually sat in it and flew it I was so excited that I started shouting. It was probably the most exhilarating experience one could have. I am someone who loves speed anyway.
"So, the fact that I was sitting in a F-16 and I was a co-pilot was unbelievable. I also went through G force. If you know when you fly such a plane you can go up to G9. G1 is when you feel your body weight; G2 is when you feel two times your body weight. He (The co-pilot) took me up to G6. That's something I would take through my grave with me."
"I think it was required to understand my part better and it helped me to understand what all goes to become a fighter pilot," he added.
Shaid closely followed the mannerisms of the Indian Air Force pilots in the bases he visited and maintains that he is completely in awe of their attitude.
"I visited some air force bases to meet some air force pilots; I sat on the aircraft, I put on the G-suit, observed how they walk with the helmet. All things like that which actually gives you some kind of perspective of what it is to be representing the country and to be the part of the arm force and to be an Air Force pilot.
"It's interesting to know that the value of an air force pilot is Rs.300 crore in an average because that's the money invested to make an air force officer over a period of time. He is an extremely valuable commodity. They are taken extremely good care of. They all met me like 'Oh tu to hero hai, haan thik hai'. They all have this attitude, which is awesome. They are the real heroes," said Shahid.
The directorial debut of his actor father Pankaj Kapur, "Mausam" is a love story with actress Sonam Kapoor playing the lead opposite him.
"'Mausam' is about season of love. It's about different emotions and different situations that the couple goes through. That's the theme of the film," said Shahid.
"Mausam" is set to hit theatres Sep 16.

6 Tips To Control Hunger
6 Tips To Control Hunger
By Mike T Nelson PhD(c)
Let's face it, trying to lose fat can be hard at times. The biggest thing that comes up time and time again is hunger. In a perfect world, you would find a way to not be hungry and still watch your waistline shrink. Can that really be done? Below are 6 tips to help guide your waistline to a new low.
1) Eat more protein
I like to tell my clients to eat more when they are looking to get leaner. Most of the time they look at me like I'm a 2 headed purple space alien. Eat more? Really? Their whole lives they have heard you need to eat less and less, but can we eat more of something and still lose weight?
It turns out that protein has some very cool effects. First off, protein helps with satiety and keeps you full longer. I could site a bunch of studies here (2, 11, 15, 24), but try this experiment out on your own. Eat 2 whole chicken breasts and the same amount of calories from Twinkies, then see how soon you are hungry again.
Two 6 oz chicken breasts have about 420 calories. This may leave some of you doing your own episode of "Man vs Food" just to finish them. Yet 3 Twinkies have about the same number of calories, and it would be easy to polish them off in no time (not that I know anything about that).
In the end, eat more protein to watch your waistline go down.
2) Drink more water
Not a new one, but the cool thing about water is 1) it is required, and 2) no calories. Basic stuff, I know, but the key question is: "Are you doing it?" Test out drinking more water and I bet you will drop fat without trying harder (8, 12, 22, 23).
Does water temperature matter?
Research on this area is pretty split (5), so if you like cold water, go for it. If you can't stand cold water, just go with room temperature water. Don't use the temperature of the water as an excuse to avoid it. Hmmm, the water is not cold, so I am going to skip it. Drink more first; then worry about the temperature.
3) Get more essential fats
Essential fats are something many, many people are lacking in today's world. Plus they are involved in virtually every process and cell in the body! Your body NEEDS them (hence that "essential" part). Hunger is the main way the body signals you to get more nutrients (both macronutrients and micronutrients).
The downside is that the world we live in today has non-essential fats readily accessible. You can eat all the non-essential trans fats you want, but they will do nothing to increase the essential ones and only screw things up more!
A good source?
One of the best sources of essential fats is krill oil. Krill or Fish oil also may help with body composition too (17), and increase muscle mass (21).
4) Exercise
Despite what you read in the popular media, exercise is a good thing. While it may be very hard to out exercise the doughnut, that doesn't mean exercise is worthless. Exercise is the main way to burn calories, build metabolically active muscle tissue, and sensitize the body to nutrients.
Most people nowadays spend most of their time seated. Even when they exercise, it is for a small portion of their day; so we need to maximize that time by prioritizing full body exercises. Not only will this burn a ton of calories, it will work to add more muscle. More muscle literally pulls fats and carbs out of the blood to be burned. Your resting metabolic rate is your primarily caloric burn, so you want to have a fast, high horsepower motor.
Another benefit from exercise is related to upregulation of the GLUT-4 receptor which allows glucose to enter into a cell (4). GLUT-4 is an insulin-regulated glucose transporter located in fat and muscle tissue. This protein is expressed only in muscle and fat cells - the major tissues in the body that respond to insulin. This leads us into point 5.....
5) Control insulin
The body employs a myriad of different feedback loops and regulation techniques. I'm sure you have read about these many times and scratched your head or fallen asleep. Everything from mTOR and AMPK to all the hormones like GH, testosterone, estrogen, leptin, Neuropeptide Y, ad nauseam (9, 16, 19, 20, 25).
While these are very important, we need to ask 2 key questions.
1) Do we have any direct control over them?
2) What are the main effects?
Out of these key questions we find that insulin is a major regulator hormone, and we do maintain some control over it.
Think of insulin as the "fuel selector switch" in the body.
High levels of insulin = storage mode.
This can be storing carbs in muscle and live tissue as glycogen, or storing more fat around those love handles you hate.
The opposite works to our favor, though, as low levels of insulin = fat burning (enhanced fat metabolism). Everything that you eat will result in some release of insulin, but we want to keep the overall response as low as possible by sticking with more proteins like meat, fish, egg, lots of non-starchy vegetables, and essential fats.
6) Spike insulin
Perhaps I lost my mind here, but the point above talked about controlling insulin and this is still true. We want to keep insulin at a low level during the day overall.
One time we will want to increase insulin temporarily, though, is before training since it may help enhance carbohydrate metabolism. When you are lifting weights, your body is fueled primarily by carbohydrates. Remember that when insulin is high, it pushes the fuel selector switch towards carbohydrate metabolism which is great right before a strength training session.
Insulin is also a potent vasodilator, so you can dump those crazy NO (nitric oxide) products that don't work in the trash can (or give them to your neighbor). Insulin has been used in research for the sole purpose to exploit its vasodilator effects on vessels (3, 6, 10, 13, 14). Instead of some NO (nitric oxide) products, have a protein and carb drink about 30-60 minutes pre-training. In addition to temporarily increasing insulin, it also helps increase muscle protein synthesis where you are literally adding proteins to muscle tissue so they are bigger and stronger (1, 7, 18). Remember, we want to build a huge engine to burn more calories even at rest.
Conclusion
Hunger can be a vicious enemy and you are now armed with these 6 tips to beat it into submission. Go forth and conquer!

I loved you enough
I loved you enough
Some day when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them:
I loved you enough to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to insist that you save your money and buy a bike for yourself even though we could afford to buy one for you.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to make you take a Milky Way back to the drugstore (with a bite out of it) and tell the clerk, "I stole this yesterday and want to pay for it."
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that would have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment and tears in my eyes. Children must learn that their parents aren't perfect.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it. Those were the most difficult battles of all. I'm glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.

Thursday best for sex and Wednesdays to find love
By: ANI Date: 2011-05-26 Place: London
Did you know Thursday is best for having sex? Or Wednesday is the best bet to find the love of your life? If not, then here's a new study that tells you the special thing attached to each day of the week.
A latest research from the London School of Economics has stated that whatever day it is, there's always something we can do to get the most out of life - from having sex to getting a salary hike, reports the Sun.
Here's list of the things you can do throughout the week:
Monday
Best for de-stressing: Find time to chill out, advises the study from British Medical Journal. It says you are 20 per cent more likely to die of a heart attack on a Monday due to the fall-out from weekend alcohol bingeing and the stress of returning to work.
Tuesday
Best for nailing that to-do list: We're most productive, on this day to get things done. A study by the US Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology says our rational "left" brain dominates thinking early in the week and is better for routine, mundane jobs.
Wednesday
Best for looking for love: This day is ideal for a first date, say more than 40 per cent of 8,000 singletons polled. If it goes well you get a handy day's breathing space before the follow-on Friday date. And if it doesn't work out, you can arrange to see friends at the weekend and not dwell on your disaster.
Asking for a raise: Bosses are most receptive to requests for pay rises on Wednesdays, a survey of more than 1,500 UK top brass shows.
Thursday
Getting busy between the sheets: Natural cortisol energy levels, which stimulate sex hormones, are at their peak. Set your alarm clock and get some early morning loving, which is when levels of the sex hormones testosterone in men and oestrogen in women are up to five times higher.
Best for hospital stays: Check in on a Thursday and you're more likely to be forced to stay longer - a full 24 hours more than patients admitted on a Sunday - according to a study by the Institute for Public Policy Research.
Friday
Best for quitting smoking: Stub out the fags on this day and you can survive the temptations of the weekend, US researchers found. This is because the first few days are when your willpower is at its strongest.
Rubbish for making big decisions: We're more likely to be sleep-starved at the end of the working week and less able to think clearly, according to bodyclock expert Martin Moore-Ede.
Saturday
Best for having a baby: Saturdays are best if you want your child to be a winner shows the Office for National Statistics. Children born on this day have a better chance of becoming Prime Minister-of 21 PMs since 1900, six have been born on a Saturday.
Sunday
Best for eating out: Preparing a traditional Sunday roast is more stressful than going to the dentist, according to one in five people surveyed. So take the load off and treat you and yours - meaning someone else can deal with the washing up.
AWSOME !!! Really Really Really
